U.S. Open Wmens Finals- Today We have Vera Zvonareva (7) vs. Kim Clijsters (2)Zvonareva was born September 7, 1984 in Moscow, Russia to Igor Zvonarev and Nataliya Zvonareva (Bykova). Igor played Bandy (Russian hockey) in the USSR championship with Dynamo Moscow, while Nataliya played hockey and was the bronze medalist at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. Vera was introduced to tennis at the age of six by her mother, although no other members of her family play the game

Petkovic speaks German, English, French and Serbian. Petkovic reached her career-high singles ranking of World No. 33 on 21 June 2010. Petkovic's highest doubles ranking was World No. 68 on September 28, 2009. She has won 1 WTA title, 8 ITF singles titles and 3 ITF doubles titles. Petkovic became the German national champion in 2007 and 2009.
